Herma S. Simmons Elementary School offers innovative education programs that align to the Common Core State Standards and The Division of Early Childhood Education (DECE) of the New Jersey Department of Education preschool through third grade initiatives. At CMS we believe in setting high expectations for student learning, promoting student self-esteem through achievement, and celebrating all students’ successes. Congratulations to the Clayton HS Select Choir for placing second in the 9-12 Division of the 2013 B101 Christmas Choir Competition. With the help and support of the school and community, our 14 students were able to advance this far. Their second place prize includes $2,000 and the opportunity to perform with the Philly Pops.
